“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.” (Psalm 130:5)
“Christian hope is the confident expectation and trust in God’s promises, particularly the ultimate fulfillment of those promises through Jesus Christ. It is not simply wishful thinking, but a deeply rooted assurance based on the belief that God is faithful and will bring about His divine plan for salvation, renewal, and eternal life.” – OpenAI. As we continue to hope for our Lord’s return, we can use the seasons that God has given us to celebrate Christ Jesus on this side of heaven. This weekend we will be entering into our second week of the advent season. A time of hopeful waiting, but also a time of preparation. We look forward to the fulfilment of God’s promise, while being ever mindful that we are all works in progress. Taking strides forward in preparation for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And as we seek God in each season of our lives, we take time to celebrate all that he has done for us. Especially in the Christmas season, as we recall that “O Holy Night” where God knew there was nothing His creation could do to reach Him in Heaven, so He came to us. We celebrate His selfless act of mercy and grace to become man who saved all mankind. Jesus, who is God and was with God, left the throne of heaven to be born in a stable and laid in a manager. These truths gained from scripture are the words we put our hope in. God bless, and Merry Christmas.
