We Are More Than Conquerors.
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
‘For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35-39)
I have come to a single conclusion about life; that is we are here to love and worship God and to promote the saving faith in Christ Jesus as the one and only path to heaven. This is our purpose. And while I can honestly attest to this goal, I also have to admit my own short comings in achieving it. I have encountered obstacles and barriers to God’s mission for me at every corner. You see, the devil who opposes God has also realized this as our one purpose. And he will stop at nothing to squash our calling. But today we find comfort and hope in the word of God. We are more than conquerors in Christ. Nothing can separate us from God’s love. “Neither angels nor demons” can stop our mission. We may fall, we may stumble, and we may lose our way. But nothing can prevent God’s love and mercy from resetting our course. Yes, with God anything is possible. And yes, Satan is no match for the King of kings, Jesus. So today know that Satan is prowling, looking to crush our will, but he will never defeat the power within us. The power of the Holy Spirit. With God, and through the power of Christ Jesus, we are more than conquerors.
