“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

We know that God created everything. He created all things from nothing, and simply spoke life into existence. God is the highest authority because He designed all things, and as such, all things belong to Him. But within this set of all that God has made, is His one masterpiece. Man and woman, are the only part of God’s creation designed in His own image. God’s “handiwork” is found in each of us. We have the image of God woven into us and have been purposefully built with a singular focus on Christ Jesus. And with the power of the Holy Spirit, we are truly prepared to do the good work that God has prepared for us. We have been created by God, “in Christ Jesus,” for His purpose. Not forced to do things outside of our own free will, but rather, we are free to choose the path that God has cleared for us. For God is not constrained and bound to time as we are, He can see all things past, present, future. His preparation for us, occurred “in advance” of us arriving because God was already present in our future (wrap your mind around that one😉.) All that to say, God may have cleared a road for us but it is still on us to choose it. So I leave you with this today; God knew us and loved us deeply before we even existed. We are the masterpieces of His handiwork, and the only living creatures God loved so much that He sent Christ Jesus to die for us. We are cherished by the Lord and creator of all things. So if you are feeling a bit off or down today, just know that the God who governs the sun rising in the morning, is the same God who considers you His masterpiece.
